Pool Opening Social
This social event is generally held on the Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend. We gather as a community for a pot-luck dinner party, and everyone brings a dish to share – appetizer, side dish, salad, entree or dessert. Beverages and paper products are supplied by the HOA. It is a great time to get reacquainted with old friends, meet new neighbors and get a head start on the summer season.
Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

Pine Bay celebrates Independence Day with an old-fashioned 4th of July celebration. Homeowners are encouraged to decorate their homes for our nation’s birthday. Festivities kick off at noon with a parade. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes, carriages, strollers, scooters, pets and themselves in red, white and blue.
The parade forms at the pool area (starting 10-15 minutes before step off) and proceeds around the Bay Reach community loop. Bay Reach will be closed to vehicle traffic during the parade so residents should plan accordingly.
At the parade’s conclusion, celebrants convene at the pool area parking lot for a catered barbecue picnic. The pool will be open for all to enjoy. Our celebration is organized as a family event, so we encourage you to involve your children, grandchildren and everyone young at heart!
Pine Bay Tree Lighting

Pine Bay starts the holiday season each year on the 1st Saturday of December with the launching of its floating, lighted tree onto the large pond adjacent to the pool. Celebrants meet at the pool at dusk for hot cider, wine, and snacks. As darkness falls, the tree is launched, the colorful tree lights are turned on and we sing holiday songs.
